Conscious and unconscious

The conscious part of our brain processes between 0.0005% and, in the best-case scenario, a maximum of 5% of reality, everything else (that is, between 95% and 99.9995%) is processed at the unconscious level and this processing can happen simultaneously at the conscious and unconscious levels.

"Until you turn the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." - Carl Jung

Self-awareness and self-responsibility

We are all deeply influenced by our instincts, environments, contexts or circumstances and by our experiences, from the moment we are born and throughout our lives.

When we better understand these interactions at the level of our unconscious and transform them into conscious information, we stop allowing our own brain to tell us biased stories about reality and we begin to hold greater responsibility for the choices and decisions we make in our lives.

"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become." - Carl Jung

Creating good habits is crucial

One of the rules of neuroplasticity tells us that the brain works in a way that makes us excellent at what we repeat and what we focus on.

Without repetition and focus on anything, there is no excellence, because the brain does not optimize the necessary connections between neurons and this generates forgetfulness, except in the case of basic physical movements, such as walking or riding a bike for example, because the brain seeks to save energy and gradually "cleans up" everything that is not used frequently.

On the other hand, it doesn't matter whether what we repeat or what we focus on is positive or negative for us, the brain does not make this distinction, nor does it have any moral compass to know what is right or wrong, it simply becomes as efficient as possible at doing what we choose to repeat or focus on.

Therefore, we must choose to repeat and focus on what is positive and right for us, otherwise we become excellent at doing what is negative and wrong for us.

"People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures." - F. M. Alexander

Making your brain your best and most powerful ally

  • The Human Behavioral Model
  • How to manage and switch, in a healthy, conscious and optimized way, between the different operating systems of our brain
  • The anatomy and "mechanics" of our brain
  • How to manage our neurochemicals, what are the daily "doses" of healthy chemicals we need to stimulate and how to do it
  • How to stimulate neurogenesis (creation of new cells in the brain, which can be neurons, but also other types of cells)
  • How to make the most of neuroplasticity (our ability to learn, adapt and change) without wasting it and at any age
  • How stress works, what are its highly negative effects on the brain, how to avoid it and how to manage it effectively and efficiently
  • How procrastination works in our brain and how to get around it or overcome it
  • How focus, discipline, willpower, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation work
  • How memory works, why we forget, how we improve memory, how we learn, how we create and change habits
  • What are the precautions for the environments or contexts around us (enriched environments, impoverished environments and toxic environments) and how does this influence the health of our brain
  • What are our main cognitive biases (among the more than 300 already identified and proven), how to get around them and/or not be manipulated by them
  • How they are formed and how we can change our limiting beliefs, how we create and/or can change frameworks and perspectives on the reality to which we are exposed
  • The unhealthy psychological games our brain plays in our relationships with ourselves and in our interactions with others
  • What are our healthy and unhealthy compensation mechanisms and how do they work
  • What are the projections we make and how do they work, how do they impact our interactions with other people and vice versa
  • How our ego works and how it manifests itself in healthy and unhealthy ways
  • Self-knowledge and Identity as factors that enhance a healthy brain and help eliminate problems such as, among many others, the Impostor Syndrome
  • How neurological diseases work and how to delay many of their respective limitations and/or reduce the impact they can cause
  • How to identify the origin, understand, accept and better manage our behaviors, thoughts, emotions, traumas, fears, insecurities and frustrations
  • Regular habits to keep our brain healthy
  • Educating, teaching and/or caring – the brain in the exercise of parenting, teaching and in the role of caregivers of the elderly, from the perspective of both sides, that is, parents and children, teachers and students, caregivers and those who need to be cared for
  • The evolution of brain maturity, from birth to adulthood - the care this process requires and the respective impacts on brain health
  • Differences and similarities between empathy, emotional closeness and/or distance, and involvement through storytelling, whether real, works of fiction, commercial narratives, or fictional plots
  • Structural and determinant differences between facing and living life according to a survival brain or consciously and deliberately choosing to live with an empowered brain

Understand your brain, take control of it and empower your life.

Service provision conditions

  • It is not possible to predict a total number of Coaching sessions. In general, we would say that a Brain Coaching process may require between 3 and 6 months on a fortnightly basis. However, it depends on its scope, goals and complexity, which are defined in a free 1st session to carry out this assessment
  • Preferably, all services are provided online, using a video conferencing platform. However, there is availability for in-person sessions
